Nonprofit Overview
Mission: To promote the welfare of brookside elementary school & students by educational & cultural experiences, assisting with classroom supplies & enhancing communications. The pto promotes the welfare of students in the home, school & community. It supplements educational experiences of approximately 350 students & 30 classroom teachers of grades kindergarten to 5th.
Programs: Sponsor of educational enrichment programs and social events including assembly programs that enrich the school's curriculum by inviting authors, musicians & dancers to perform and interact with students. The program also includes after-school special classroom courses.
educational field trips with visits to norwalk ct aquarium,sterling hill mines, buehler challenger & science center, and faiview lake enviromental center.
bookfair includes sale of children and education books,a reading program,reading to children and a school visit by a published author.
school beautification; teacher appreciation; financial support for classroom and school supplies and equipment; promotion of parent involvement and enhanced communications between parents and school staff.
