To encourage and empower others, especially children, to get involved and make a difference for children with cancer by raising global public awareness of childhood cancer through service project, education and advocacy initiatives;
and to raise money primarily for research into earlier detection, newer treatments, and cutting edge, targeted therapies and cures for pediatric cancer that will be gentler and more tolerable through all stages: discovery, diagnosis, treatment, and remission.
'When a blossom is much more than a flower, but a symbol of unity, hope & ultimately love'
My daughter was diagnosed with stage iv neuroblastoma in June 2012. One day in the hospital we were sent some 'Brooke's Blossoms' from an Irish mum of a child with cancer who was a friend of the founder. From there grew the beginning of Brooke's Blossoms in Ireland. My daughter delightedly handed out the flowers to other children on the ward when the foundation so generously sent them to us, bringing smiles, joy & colour to children at the most difficult of times.
The seeds of a dear friendship were sown as Brooke & my daughter became great buddies when spending time together in the hospital in America.
A dear friendship bloomed between the founder of the charity & I as she shared her incredible knowledge of neuroblastoma with me.
You see, a blossom is much more than a headpiece, it is a gesture of love, reaching out to children & parents at the most lonely & terrifying time.
Brooke's Blossoms has always supported the 'go gold' campaign to raise awareness of childhood cancer & has sent many gold blossoms to Ireland that are worn the length & breath of this little island.
My sweet little lady was rarely seen without a blossom during her treatment for cancer, the beautiful headpieces adorned her bald little head always, making her feel like the special little beauty she is.
Thank you 'Brooke's Blossoms' , for everything you do, in what can feel like a jungle your blossoms shine brightly.
This is an incredible Foundation ran by amazing people in memory of the most amazing little girl. I recommend anyone looking to donate check them out, big changes will be made here I have no doubt
This is an unusually effective nonprofit focusing on pediatric cancer. They have spread awareness and crafted beautiful flower bands for children.
My life was turned upside down when my 1 year old was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. We flew across the country to meet with a new doctor. The best part of that trip---hands down---was meeting the Blossoms behind this nonprofit: Brooke and her mother. They gave us a blossom, a smile, and friendship unparalleled. They continue to bless countless others through their multiple ways of sharing.
Brooke's Blossoming Hope has brought so many smiles to so many families in need of them. It's founder, Brooke, is my personal hero, and she is a constant reminder to me that I have plenty of reasons to stay happy and push through the negative. This foundation helps raise so much money towards awareness and research for childhood cancers, and is 100% volunteer led and uses 100% of proceeds towards childhood cancer elimination.
This organization is amazing in so many ways. Helping girls feel beautiful while in treatment with big blossoms made with love. Supporting families and bringing awareness to a cause so dear to me and so many others. I had the pleasure to know Brooke well, she changed my life. And I'm so thankful her memory will live on forever because of Brooke's Blossoming Hope. Love always ~ Amy
Brooke's Blossoming Hope for Childhood Cancer has done & continues to do so much for Childhood cancer. Not only do they bring hope & smiles to the faces of children & their families fighting the fight, but they also bring awareness & funds to research & prayerfully find a cure. When I met Brooke & Jessica, I knew right away how special they were. With their faith & continued dedication to this cause, I know a cure will be found.
Brooke and this foundation changed my life... I used to selfishly turn a blind eye when it came to childhood cancer. It was something that was too painful for me to think about. When I first stumbled across this organization on Facebook and I saw the smiles the blossoms put on children's faces, I decided I wanted to donate financially (but that was it)...apparently God had other plans! The day that I went to drop off a check, I met Brooke. She was such a light- like an angel on this earth. I knew immediately that I wanted to do more than just donate. I wanted to volunteer my time making these blossoms. Well once you start, you can't stop! It has truly been one of the most rewarding experiences for me. I was asked to serve on a committee for one of the fundraisers, and recently became a Brooke's Blossoming Hope board member. After meeting Brooke, there was just no way I couldn't do more... I think so many people feel helpless in these situations so they shy away from getting involved. I did. I never knew that childhood cancer was the number one disease killer in children and that it's grossly underfunded. Brooke's Blossoming Hope not only educated me on this horrible reality, it taught me that I could personally make a difference in the lives of children fighting cancer- even just raising awareness is HUGE! I will NEVER stop being a voice.
