I am always compelled to give when I am able. I was particularly moved deep down in my soul when I received a note from my latest donation, during Covid-19 pandemic. The note explained to me that the money I donated helped provide food for a single mother and her children and to get them items of necessity that they had been living without. That note reinforced my idea that I was not only doing the right thing, but any donation I could afford to give would be put to good use. May God continue to bless Brook Ministries, Inc and Steve and Angela Lucas for being such wonderful stewards.

Over 9 years ago, Dr. Steve Lucas, CEO of The Brook Ministries, had a blog post titled, "Looking for a brave church." We were blessed to be part of the group that responded positively to that and an ongoing discipleship ministry to an indigenous people group was inaugurated. We support financially, all of which is handled by TBM, and we have made 11 mission trips, all coordinated by and through TBM. Most of the time Dr. Lucas and his wife host the team at their home also. We couldn't be more blessed through this partnership. Along the way, our pastor was blessed to become a member of TBM board of directors.

One of my favorite Brook Ministries stories is how Steve Lucas, CEO of the Brook, raised money to buy sewing machines for women trying to change their lives and take care of their families. The Brook also provided a youth center with computers for kids with no place to go after school. God bless the Brook and its supporters for helping women and children in addition to training pastors in Costa Rica.

I am a donor and have benefitted from a "Vacation With A Purpose" provided by this ministry. Such awesome work, by awesome people, in an awesome place, and I'm inspired by the reach of the ministry. My wife and I had a vacation over Valentine's Day week and The Brook arranged for two speaking engagements at churches, where I could make presentations increasing awareness of the Persecuted Church around the world. They also setup fun excursions that we were interested in. They picked us up at the airport and took care of all arrangements, including taking us back to the airport. All we had to do was show up. Impeccable attention to detail and lots of opportunities to let your Light shine. Thank you, Brook Ministries.

This ministry is serving an incredible need in our society...refreshing pastors. Pastors spend almost all of their time ministering and serving others, and the result more often than not is burnout. They leave their calling, leaving their church, and sometimes leave their faith. Brook ministries operates a retreat center in Costa Rica, for such Pastors to get away and themselves be fed....so they can come back to their churches with renewed hope and energy. They also promote and serve missionary work to that part of the world.
