Mission: Symphony orchestra to promote music culture
Programs: The mission of the bristol symphony orchestra (dba nutmeg symphony orchestra) is to bring professional quality music to bristol, and its contiguous communities, the farmington valley and northwestern connecticut. Through the performance of concerts and related programs, the board of directors aims to promote interest and appreciation for music and to enhance the cultural climate of the region. It engages in activities to educate and encourage children and students in the playing of fine music. All income from concert revenue, donations, corporate support and fundraising activities is used to pay the expenses associates with the orchestra's performances; the symphony orchestra is a not-for-profit organization.
