Causes: Domestic Violence, Family Violence Shelters, Homeless & Housing
Mission: A christian ministry providing safe shelter and nurturing support for women and their children during an immediate time of need. Bridges safehouse seeks to encourage, empower and equip pregnant, homeless women and women in crisis, and their children, by providing shelter, resources, life-skills training, and mentoring while they are in our care.
Programs: Bridges safehouse seeks to encourage, empower and equip pregnant, homeless women and women in crisis, and their children, by providing shelter, resources, life-skills training, and mentoring while in our care. Accomplishments this year were as follows:46 adult women and 56 children were given safe shelter, food and clothing and access to social services/benefits enrollment; each adult woman completed 96 hours of success training in areas of personal, professional and spiritual development. 85% successfully transitioned to long term housing, 80% of women that completed the program remained in housing and employed after twelve months. 41 women said bridges gave them the tools and confidence needed to be successful and if not for bridges they would still be homeless.
