Programs: Christian warriors retreat: an on-going area of concern for bridge international is our military service members suffering from ptsd. After 18 months working with a group of veterans suffering from ptsd, we assisted with a first step in their initiative to develop 40 acres tract in south texas for use as a christian camp. Their master plan includes a future complex of bunk houses, chow hall, and meeting center for ministry to wounded american military veterans as they help each other recover from ptsd. We supplied $10,000 toward a water well for the 40-acre tract. Supplying water is the first necessity in making their land usable. Bridge international seeks to effect social change through benevolence, as in this case of supplying the funds for a water well.

heart project phase 2: this project was a continuation of research begun in 2013 to address the functioning of the human heart as a physical and spiritual organ. Bridge seeks to effect cultural change through scientific and biblical studies. We provided the assistance of a scholarly researcher to catalog the most up to date scientific data on how the heart relates to other organs and to the endocrine system, and then compared it with biblical models of how the spiritual heart functions with the body. This fell within our goals to effect cultural change through scientific and educational endeavor.
