Mission: Breathing Space is not a typical yoga studio. Our purpose is to offer yoga and mindfulness meditation as tools for wellness, and to offer a path to peace and connection to heal our world. Our mission includes: Offer yoga for every body – dispel stereotypes about who yoga is for; Offer low-cost and donation-based classes and programs; Present our offerings in simple forms and plain language, accessible to people of all religions, faiths, and backgrounds; Support the addiction recovery community by offering donation-based and offsite Liberation Recovery Yoga SM classes; Stand for the elimination of bias, racial prejudice, and economic inequality in society, and support restorative justice and peace efforts locally and globally.
Results: Breathing Space offers weekly Liberation Recovery Yoga and Mindfulness meditation sessions, by donation. In our first six months, we have established four weekly outreach sites, with plans for expansion in 2018.
