I just moved here to boone ia in may, I contacted salvation army to ask if they had any help with getting into a place for me n my 2 boys n I'm expecting another. The lady at salvation army gave me the phone number to Anne cook n she was fabulous. I called her n she was so helpful she got my application to me very quick I got that filled out n found a duplex n I gave the information to Anne cook n she was right on top of getting ahold of the landlords n providing the deposit to them very quick n I was moved in 2 days later. It was a very helpful n satisfying experiences going thur anne cook. Very wonderful n nice person. She has told me that she will be doing a check up after I get all moved in. Mission: Our mission is to end homelessness in our community. Boone Homeless Fund is a hand up not a hand out. Together we can end homelessness.
Results: We started our organization October 3rd, 2019 and to date we have successfully helped 29 (as of June 6th, 2020) people through the support, kindness, and generosity of people just like you. Thank you!
Target demographics: We help our homeless families, Veteran's, and individuals obtain safe and permanent housing to those who qualify.
Direct beneficiaries per year: As of June 6th, 2020 we have currently helped 29 people, including families/individuals with a place to call "Home Sweet Home"

Programs: We help those who qualify obtain permanent house by paying either the deposit or first months rent. We are a hand up, not a hand out.
