Mission: Boojum institute for experiential education offers environmental education and leadership development programs for youth and adults. Boojum's comprehensive experiential education programs-facilitated in all of the four major ecosystems.
Programs: Experiential education was provided to approximately 2500 participants with an indroduction to wilderness areas, environmental educations, outdoor skills and group cohesion activities. Environmental programs emphasized instruction in natural science, conservation and environmental stewardship, introducing participants to the natural world in a way that inspires a meaningful connection with the wilderness. These programs encouraged an understanding and appreciation of ecology and natural history. Leadership development programs fostered self-discovery through challenging games and creative problem-solving activities to enhance personal growth and group development. High- and low-course challenge "elements" such as climbing, belaying, traversing and zip lining provided participants with experiential insights into peer trust, commitment, communication, team building, problem solving and observation skills while fostering a "can do" attitude.
