Mission: Bluegrass junior woman's club is an organization dedicated to community improvement by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service. The primary goal is to support disadvantaged women, children, and families. The organization publishes an internal newsletter and had 22 members as of june 30, 2013. See program service descriptions for details of activities.
Programs: Santa's shoppers is an annual december activity which raises funds to take 35-40 underprivileged elementary school students shopping for clothing and gifts, provide lunch and a visit from santa. In additon to a coat, underwear and shoes, the children receive toys, books and a box of groceries for their families.
gala is an annual spring event which raises funds to contribute to the bluegrass domestic violence program and also presents an oyw award to an outstanding young woman who has made a positive contribution to the community through volunteer, professional and personal involvement.
