Mission: The agency's mission is to provide specific services and develop resources within the guidelines of the programs it administers to promote the independence and self-sufficiency aspirations of members of the community. By fulfilling its mission, the agency will help improve living conditions and protect and promote the individual dignity of the elderly, disabled, and low-income members of the community. Blount county community action agency is a public benefit, charitable, non-profit corporation. Community services block grant program (csbg) provides a range of services and activities to eligible low-income individuals and families to achive self-sufficiency and improve the conditions of the communities in which they live. Csgb provides income tax consulting, home repair/rehabilitation, emergency services, nutrition, as well as chore service assistance to the elderly.
