Mission: Bloom360 learning community is a nonprofit school that provides a refreshing developmental approach to education that recaptures the joy of learning for children with neuro-diverse needs.
Programs: Bloom360 learning community, a nonprofit school in southeastern wisconsin, utilizes a one-of-a-kind educational model that identifies and nurtures each learner's strengths, cultivates positive and authentic relationships and supports and guides each learner's growth from his/her developmental uniqueness. The model blends worldwide best practices in special education and includes the innovative and collaborative efforts of a team of educators, therapists, business consultants and community supporters. The bloom360 approach focuses on the whole child with individual developmental learning plans that support growth in the five areas of human development: emotional, body, social, spirit and mind. Learners help choose their specific projects and work with learning guides (teachers) and therapists to plan, research, and then show what they learned with a concrete item, presentation or other demonstration. This project-based learning approach provides learners with opportunities to truly engage with the subject matter, addresses state standards for common core academics and promotes a deeper understanding and opportunities for whole child growth. This growth will open doors and create new opportunities for each learner that may include: volunteer/internships, community-based programs, technical college, military, four-year college and employment opportunities. Bloom360 supports many community collaborations and partnerships that provide real-world opportunities for learners to interact with local businesses and organizations to further explore their interests and to contribute to the greater community. Target population:bloom360 learning community serves youth ages 5-21 from southeastern wisconsin with neuro-diverse needs such as add/adhd, anxiety, asperger's, autism, developmental delays, language-based learning differences, learning disabilities and other learning differences that may impact the child's ability to fully participate in many everyday experiences or successfully engage in other learning environments. What we aim to solve:approximately one of every five school-aged children nationwide has learning differences that may impact their ability to thrive in a traditional school environment. Bloom360's goal is to provide an option for families in southeastern wisconsin and northern illinois who are seeking an alternative school with a developmental, strengths- and project-based learning approach for their child to reach their full potential.
If you know a child who has learning disabilities or special needs, Bloom360 Learning Community is the best school option available. They staff experienced teachers and therapists who design a customized curriculum for each child based on their strengths and interests. My sister has autism and had trouble in school before starting at Bloom360, and now she is thriving and interacting with other kids. There’s a lot of one-on-one attention from teachers in addition to small group interactions with other kids. I’m so glad Bloom360 came along for my sister, because she’s come such a long way.
