Blind Sports Organization is like the "Little Engine That Could" - with a small budget and many dedicated volunteers, BSO has promoted, provided, and advocated for sports, recreational, and social opportunities for blind and visually impaired since 1974. The programs are run by volunteers who are passionate about sports for the blind. The athletes, many of whom thought that their blindness would not allow them to participate in sports, have repeatedly risen to the top of their respective sport (i.e. goalball, judo, and beep baseball) and all show incredible dedication and sportsmanship. Financially, BSO operates on a shoestring budget, so donors know that their money will be used for programming and not lining pockets. BSO athletes, volunteers, and donors make a great team. It's great to be part of this organization.
