This is our first year homeschooling and we were looking for a group that our children could be active with. We have found BHCFL to be extremely well organized and provide more than enough learning and social opportunities for our children. We were also able to rent curriculum from the group's library and that was such a big help for us as first year homeschoolers. Looking forward to the next 15+years of homeschooling our children:)

Back when I homeschooled my daughters, i was applauded for doing so in my community, but many didn't have the confidence to do so. Now I'm helping my daughters homeschool their children and immediately recognized the benefit of an active, vibrant group such as BHCFL which encourages, advances and celebrates black homeschools. And, in some instances, they are the only one providing that support. Be ready to participate, learn and grow with this organization!! Your students will thank you.

We love this group! Black Homeschoolers of Central Florida was a lifeline when we were new to the state and trying to figure out how to engage with local homeschool communities. The group provides educational, service, and social opportunities for its members and always seeks to engage with the larger Central Florida community. My kids love the field trips they have taken and the friends they have made. We are all so grateful for this wonderful group!

We are so grateful to be a part of the BHCFL family! We've been involved since our daughter was two years old and I know being in this group is a major factor contributing to us thriving in these homeschooling streets :-) I was looking for community, access to a wealth of information resources, and a safe and welcoming place where my family would feel like we belong. My family found all of that and so much more!!! Many thanks to BHCFL for holding this space for families like mine.

BHCFL is a wonderful asset to my family, without their assistance we would not have been able to successfully homeschool our children. The board members use their personal experiences to help guide our family and others to all the information that we need to be able to help our children make the most of their education. I wouldn't trade our connections and friendships made within this group for anything!

I joined black homeschoolers when my son was just shy of two years old. I had an interest in homeschooling my son but didn't have the resources. It was also important that I be apart of a community that valued the same fundamental approach on how I planned to educate my children. My son loves interacting with his friends that he's now known for three years and I have made lasting connections with the parent's in this group. I call them my village because everyone is always supportive and willing to offer guidance when needed. My son is starting kindergarten this upcoming school year and I feel prepared to start this journey knowing that I have back up should I require help through this group. I highly recommend this group to any family who is looking teach their brown children about their afrikan culture, experience culturally diverse field trips and build a community.

My family is so grateful for BHCF. We always knew we would homeschool but didn't have much direction. We was introduced to BHCF in 2016 through a friend and it's been a huge part of our family ever since. From the community work to weekly field trips, BHCF has given me the confidence I needed to homeschool and my son a community to trust. I'm grateful to be around other families of color that cares about their children's education and made the decision to homeschool.

This group has been a welcoming home for us at various stages of our homeschool journey. We were unable to find a similar support community in the area so we are so thankful to have found BHCF. We have participated in several of the group activities and my children have always enjoyed learning with the group.

This charity has helped educate me about the things available to me for my family. Homeschooling and providing a quality education is difficult. They provide information, options, and events curtailed to my family. I am so thankful for them!
