Causes: Environment, Environmental Education
Mission: Outdoor programs for at risk youth.
Programs: The bitterroot venture mentoring program at b. E. A. R. Is focused on empowering youth and broadening their horizons through mentoring activities that incorporate the benefits of being outdoors. The bitterroot venture program has three groups for youth 10-17 years old, who meet regularly throughout the year: venture o. U. T. , k. O. R. E. , and sk8 montana. Bitterroot venture leaders also offers site specific outdoor education, teamwork and leadership activities, and field trips. Approximately 100 youth participated in the bear program.
b. E. A. R. Summer camps offer enrichment activities focused on place-based education and personal development. 50 youth were served by this program.
youth team development - b. E. A. R. 's program leaders are available to visit schools and community organizations as guest facilitators for teamwork building and nature-based activities. They receive yearly training in innovative, fun group facilitation techniques and can assist groups with team building and outdoor connection that will help them reach their potential and nourish their souls! Approximately 250 youth were served by this program.
