Causes: Sports, Swimming & Other Water Recreation
Mission: Support youth competitive swimming through training, competitive events, and exposure to higher level swim clubs.
Programs: Sponsor training to competitive swimmers, suppoort them in enetering meets, support in qualifying for the junior olympics, and participating in usa swimming events. Provide supplies and swim gear for these areas.
for the 5th year, the club traveled to the aau jr olympic meet. This year the meet was in detroit, mi. The club sponsored 38 swimmers, with 4 coaches for the 4 day event.
the club sponsored 6 swimmers, along with 1 coach, to train with usa swimming in ft. Smith, ar. The week long trip was both for training and team building, and to encourage swimmers in leadership in growth of competitive swimming. This training ended with 33 more swimmers joining the origianl 6 for a summer preliminary/finals swim meet in fort smith.
sucessfully hosted the 3rd aau district championships in edmond, ok. 54 swimmers sponsored by the club competed in the event, which also serves as a qualifier for the aau jr olympics.
