Causes: Food, Meals on Wheels
Mission: Meals on wheels is a community-based service that provides fresh, nutritious meals delivered directly to the homes of seniors and individuals with disabilities throughout the city. In addition to regularly providing healthy foods, caring volunteers provide social connection that helps meal recipients remain living independently in their own homes. With the help of meals on wheels programs, seniors and people with disabilities get the nourishment and human connection needed to support daily activities, while reducing the need for medical support. For some recipients, these daily meals are the difference between living in their own homes and moving to a nursing home.

Programs: At the core of the meals on wheels service is a nutritious meal, companionship and a watchful eye on the health and safety of our seniors. For those who have trouble getting around, we bring the service to them. For those who can still venture out into their communities, we serve in gathering places, such as senior centers and community facilities. The organization deliver community-based nutrition services and wellness programs, primarily to benefit the all age groups.
