BISKIDS CHILDREN'S PROGRAM

BISKIDS IS AWESOME!!! As addiction is epidemic in our society, what better way to make positive end roads than to educate our children at a young age. BISKIDS is doing just that! By using fun, age appropriate music, art & games, children are introduced to the perils of addiction and given life skills to overcome adversity. BISKIDS creates a safe, fun place for children to thrive.

I’ve been involved in fundraising efforts for this amazing organization, and have been so moved by the overwhelming response to the community’s support of this program. BISKIDS is making a difference in our children’s lives.

We have had Bis Kids work with my students for the past two years and the experience they provide is life changing!

I am privileged to work for BisKids, as a counselor, educating children and their families about the disease of addiction. As a BisKids counselor, I help children acquire healthy coping skills to deal with emotions, negative thoughts and a variety of life's stressors. I am honored to work with Victoria Morgan and the remarkable BisKids staff, who are passionate about their work. BisKids program is conducted in a friendly, kind and safe environment, promoting children's high self-esteem and a drug-free lifestyle. Children are seen and heard in BisKids. Their shared feelings are acknowledged and valued. This is accomplished through fun activities, stories, and dialogue between the counselor and the children, in a group setting. During the pandemic, we have held zoom sessions to stay connected. The children learn about addiction in a non-stigmatizing manner, so they are able to grasp an understanding that individuals with addiction problems need help/treatment, and that seeking help is not something to be ashamed of. I recall a profound statement made by a child, when asked, "What are some reasons to not use drugs or drink alcohol?", and she stated, "Because when you drink and use drugs, people don't get to know the real you and they think you are bad, when you are not; you just need help." BisKids (Believe In Sobriety, Believe In Success, Believe In Yourself) is a Class A , non-profit organization that educates, empowers and builds resiliency in our youth. Learned healthy coping skills, provide children the ability to deal with challenging situations in a healthy manner, present their best selves, and ultimately become who they were born to be. I am lucky enough to be working for Victoria. This is a program that we all hold close to our hearts. Since the pandemic we have been holding classes on Zoom. We have great teachers and the children just love all of the great things they learn, talking about their feelings, they're ups and downs, what makes them feel happy and so many other crafts, letters and drawings that they make. I have had the pleasure of meeting Victoria Morgan and learning about her organization, Bis Kids. Victoria and her staff truly care about educating children and families about the dangers of substance abuse. They are subject matter experts and do a fantastic job covering the topic. There is no doubt in my mind that Bis Kids has made a tremendous positive impact in many families lives and no doubt the training taught at the workshops has saved many lives. Biskids is so unique and so necessary. Children are exposed to drugs and alcohol at alarmingly young ages. This is the only program I've heard of that teaches PREVENTION instead of waiting till the kids are already trapped in a cycle of addiction. The fact that so many of their alumni kids come back to volunteer speaks volumes about the efficacy of this program. And the dedication that Victoria Morgan and the staff show to the kids and their families is amazing. If you're looking to dedicate time or finances to an organization, this one is an excellent investment with a high rate of return.

Biskids program is an effective program. It empowers children and help them to cope with difficulties using a positive approach. I like that they've created the online meetings now and they're happening on zoom.

Children learn about addiction and how to protect themselves and they learn positive and healthy habits during the program that is instructed by professional psychologists and teachers.

It's a great program and actually works! Thank you BISKIDS for all you do!

I have seen how extraordinary a program Bis Kids is for helping children make good healthy decisions and gives kids a toolbox to keep them safe. The founder Victoria Morgan is passionate about helping protect kids and help kids. The organization is amazing and they do so much good.

I sit on the Board for Boys and Girls club, and I can tell you that the Director of BIS Kids is truly passionate to find every way she can to help and forward the health, safety and development of our kids. Biskids is such an important program for children living in environments that don’t encourage good life choices. In my opinion Biskids changes lives!

Biskids is an extraordinary program. I was Clinical director of Biskids for several years and I know Biskids importantly uses games, stories and active play to teach children about the negative impact of addiction. Kids easily grasp the concepts they are taught and then demonstrate understanding of their newfound knowledge. Data shows that Biskids provides important delay tactics to prevent onset of substance use amongst kids who attended the program! I have never seen a substance use prevention program work as effectively as Biskids.
