Causes: Homeless & Housing, Housing & Shelter

Mission: The birchwood lakes colony club provides the following services for the surrounding communities: 1. Manages a lake system, which receives water from a storm control drainage system (9. 1 square mile area). 2. Provides facilities for national, state, local and school board elections. 3. Provides water resources for fire emergencies due to the lack of public water availbility (wells only). 4. Provides facilities for numerous scouting organizations. 5. Provides outdoor facilities for youth group sports (soccer, baseball, etc). 6. Maintains water facilities in conjunction with guidelines set forth by the new jersey fish and game division. 7. Maintains clubhouse, ballfield, tennis court, parking agreas, member & fire access areas (coves), lake dams, lake bottom, and bulk heading for all of the above for member and non-member recreational usage (157 members 2014). 8. Maintains all dam facilities in accordance with the new jersey dep dam safety division.
