I've volunteered (in different capacities) with BHFV the past several years. I've helped as a vendor where I donated treats for the annual Gift Wrapping Party, as a Santa helper by purchasing gifts for a family in need, volunteering my time to help sort and bundle gifts for children in preparation for the Wrapping Party, and currently I'm helping as a coordinator for BHFV's annual Holiday Toy Drive. The toy drive is part of the Big Hearts of Fox Valley’s Annual Christmas Sponsorship Program, a charity drive designed to collect toys and other items from wish lists for area families in need of assistance during the holidays. All collected toys will be given to local families. The organization and all who are involved are absolutely wonderful! Plus there are so many opportunities to help out, if you want to make a difference in someone’s life this Holiday season, please consider donating a little time with Big Hearts of Fox Valley. Big Hearts of Fox Valley is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to brightening the lives of children whose families are experiencing a financial hardship living within the boundaries of School District 303. BHFV offers assistance to over 16,000 children, ages 0-18, from St. Charles and portions of Wayne, Wasco, Elburn, West Chicago, South Elgin, Campton Hills, and unincorporated Kane County.
