Causes: Big Brothers & Big Sisters, Children & Youth
Mission: Our mission is to provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one relationships that change their lives for the better, forever.
Programs: Recruit, screen and train volunteers to match as mentors with at-risk youth. After the match is made, provide continuous and professional support and monitoring of the match to ensure safety and quality. In 2016, 190 new matches were made and 649 children were served across the state of alaska in the three urban centers, anchorage, fairbanks and juneau and in rural communities.
