Causes: Environment
Mission: The Beaver County Marcellus Awareness Community seeks to protect the residents of Southwestern Pennsylvania, with emphasis on those in Beaver County, by informing them about the health, safety, environmental and economic impacts of fracking infrastructure, including the petrochemical buildout; and by supporting sustainable alternatives to carbon-based energy sources and economic development strategies in Beaver County.
Results: BCMAC is currently bringing real-time air monitoring to Beaver County and Southwestern Pennsylvania, so community members can make decisions about going outside.
Target demographics: the preservation of clean air and water; raise awareness of the dangers of fracking and petrochemical buildout
Direct beneficiaries per year: 250 community members with direct supports such as food and water pitchers.

Programs: environmental advocacy on pollution; environmental advocacy on fracking; free little libraries focused on environmental education; bringing real time air monitoring results to our communities;
