We are so thankful for Beauties! Our daughter’s small group is forming some sweet friendships, while the girls are also learning how to connect and grow with God. I love that we get to teach them how to look up verses in the Bible, apply the word, different ways to journal and pray. They are learning biblical truths as young girls to store in their hearts forever!
Beauties is a safe space where my daughter learns about who she is through Christ. Her faith has grown and she connects with her Beauties friends on a deep level. I'm so thankful that she has this loving and supportive group!
Decided to come to Beauties because a lot of my friends had been talking about how they found true community there. I was met with so much kindness, especially from the Bates family. They are some of the kindest people you will ever meet. Rachel’s passion for loving others is inspiring.
Beauties is so a special opportunity for young girls to grow in their relationship with Jesus as well as other same aged girls. They develop more confidence as well. I'm so thankful my daughters are in Beauties and that I get to be a leader of a group.
Beauties has been a major part of our family. It started in 2012 for us when my 8yr old niece joined a group. 8yrs later my own daughter was old enough to start Beauties and when I asked my niece about her time in Beauties at the age of 16yrs old she said the lessons she learned were still with her and she relied on them regularly to navigate the difficulties of teenage life.
This is my 5th year as a leader and 4th year leading 2 groups. Over 25 families impacted by Beauties and the truths we all need to hear. We are Precious, Priceless, Promised, Beautiful, we are Loved and most of all we are not alone.
We moved to a new place this year, and this organization has been a huge blessing to our daughter and an amazing way for her to feel connected to her faith and a community of other girls her age. Everything was new when we arrived, but this ministry was a central way she has made friends and stayed strong in her faith in a season of change. Beauties is something she looks forward to attending for years to come because she has found a community here and is learning/growing as a person and follower of Jesus because of faithful investments by the leaders and a solid, wonderful curriculum. The crafts, conversations, and connections with other believing girls her age have grown her and helped her to see that she shares common ground with others in her struggles/experiences. Having other Christian women leading/investing into her life that reinforce what she hears at home but from a different and fresh perspective/people is huge for her personal discipleship. Beauties is truly a rare treasure and wonderful organization serving young girls and helping them develop in character/life and is a wonderful community!
My daughter attended Beauties from kindergarten - 6th grade. I love that there is a Bible study for elementary and middle school age girls. I love the curriculum, the opportunity for the girls to learn about Jesus at a level that is right for them. The curriculum is creative and has something for everyone. There are craft ideas, snack ideas, contemporary music, and they all tie into and support the theme.
I'm so grateful that Rachel resurrected and revived this ministry when the church decided to not continue offering it.
We continued to meet in safe ways during covid when the kids weren't allowed to go to school and it was such an important connection for the girls. Most churches and schools weren't meeting the needs of kids during this time, but Beauties did! We found a way to meet safely and keep the girls connected to each other and to Jesus.
I appreciate that Rachel has prayed over this ministry and the curriculum for a decade! The lessons are well thought out and very meaningful.

Beauties is run by the most thoughtful and encouraging women. My daughter joined a local group this year and it's been our best decision of 3rd grade! I also recently had the chance to meet Rachel, the executive director, who was a guest on my podcast. What an inspiration this ministry has been to myself and my daughters. What a great opportunity I have had to lead a group of girls all the way from first grade through fifth grade encouraging these girls to read their bibles and know the word of God at such a young age. I wish I had such a great ministry when I was a little girl.
I started beauties when I was five and I graduated out in 2021. It changed my entire life. Through it I truly learned that God loves me for who I am and I became passionate about learning how to live for God. Even now beauties still influences me. Some of my best friends are my beauties sisters and I always know that I have a community that just wants to love me for who I am. I know that the world and achievements don't define me. We love the positive message that Beauties gives our girls. The leaders are full of love and kindness and invest in our kids each month. I am so grateful for this group and love they share.
The Beauties ministry has had a profound impact both on myself as well as my two young daughters. My older daughter joined her first group in 2nd grade. It was so neat seeing her spiritual growth and confidence grow during that time. We knew there were so many friends at her school that would enjoy it also, so in 2022 we decided to start another group. My younger daughter joined as well and then all of a sudden we had a group of 13 1st-3rd graders made up almost entirely of sisters! My daughters have made some wonderful connections within their Beauties group and have especially loved the connection they all share when they see each other at school. Having the opportunity to really understand what it means to be God's creation and that their identity is found in Christ, is such an important priority in a world filled with so many other messages. A few of the families that attend our group do not attend church regularly and it has been such a blessing seeing their mom's participate and join in for our lessons as well. Beauties has become the highlight of our month and we are looking forward to continuing our group for years to come. I am so grateful to have the opportunity to participate both as a mom and as a leader.
My niece was 8yrs old when my mom had the opportunity to take her to a large Beauties gathering when they were first getting started. At this time my oldest daughter was about 1yr old and my 2nd daughter was yet to be known. But I knew I wanted this group for my daughter, so I signed up to get an email about it.
Over the next several years things changed with the addition of my 2nd daughter and just enjoying watching them grow. Beauties was no longer offered at our church, but in my heart was a prayer that when the time was right God would bring it back around. And every couple of years I would hear about someone who was in Beauties or I would receive a random email saying groups were starting back up.
As my oldest approached the start of Kindergarten, I received one of these emails. Curious about the impact the few classes my niece, who was now 16yrs old and quite the teenager, I asked her if she remembered Beauties and if she would recommend it for her cousins.
She lit up excitedly and said "That's still a thing? It was great and your girls will absolutely love it!"
So I reached out to Beauties asking at what age does Beauties start? The response was 1st grade and I was just in time to start recruiting friends to join the group I would start. Training for leaders was scheduled for April.
I signed up and then waited for my daughter to make friends. She made 1...I needed at least 2 more, I endeavored to schedule more playdates. It was March of 2020....the whole world stopped...but not Beauties.
They had a virtual leaders training, and then I learned I had to have a co-leader. I had 1 girl besides my own in the group and her mom traveled for work, so now I had no group, no co-leader and everyone was locked inside their own houses indefinitely.
Through prayer I remembered that I was trying to schedule a playdate with a kids min leader before everything stopped. So I reached out to her and asked if she'd like to co-lead with me.
After several weeks of prayerful consideration, she agreed and our group went from 2 to 3. Next I accessed our churches registry and emailed every Kindergarten girl who's name I recognized and I prayed some more. Soon I had a group of 7 girls...and it was still covid lockdown.
So we decided to meet outside in nice weather and online via Kindle messenger with anyone that was in quarantine.
The next year I boldly stepped into starting a 2nd group for my younger daughter. This time we had a base group of 5 ready to go and a co-leader in place.
Beauties has become a wonderful opportunity for both my daughters to learn and grow closer to God with a group of peers that are also seeking God. We only meet once a month, but when I volunteer at my daughters' school my Beauties girls run to give me a hug and they share a piece of their day with me.
My older group is now ending its third year at 10 girls and 4 more are asking to join this next year.
My younger group is at 7 girls, with 3 more asking to join for next year. This co-leader will be launching a 2nd group for her 2nd daughter. In the last 3 months, I've learned of 3 more groups in 3rd grade at our school that meet and rumors of a 4th group that might start. There are 90 3rd graders at our school, say half are girls that's 45 girls and at least 15 of them are in Beauties currently, all with friends asking to join in.
My niece, now 19yrs old and struggling into adulthood, still asks her cousins how Beauties is going and wants to know what they're learning about.
The year turned to 2020
Beauties is a safe space these precious little girls grades 1st - 8th grade to learn about their identity in in Jesus. They get to feel heard, connect with other girls their age and get to share the real, the raw, the good and the ugly. Nothing is ever forced, we just want them to feel loved and seen surrounded by a community of other like-minded friends.
I started my daughter's Beauties group when she was 5 and led her group for 8 years. They graduated as 7th and 8th graders in 2021. I love this ministry so much because I saw my daughter navigate upper elementary and middle school in a completely different way than I did. She avoided drama, gossip and reminded herself often that despite how others treated her, she was loved by God. I wish I had had Beauties as a young girl, yet leading a group taught my heart God's truths as well: I am precious, priceless, promised and so loved by God! Obeying God's prompting to turn it into a non profit and serve on the board has been so rewarding and it has grown my faith. God is so good in how he equips and transforms!! This ministry is lifegiving for not only the girls, but also us as mamas!!
I started leading beauties in the fall of 2022.
I have 10 girls in my group. This non-profit is truly a gift. The curriculum is wonderful and fun for the girls. Bringing girls together to have a strong bond with the foundation being Jesus. Every parent I talk to says it is their daughter's favorite thing to do!

I’ve been a leader, a parent, and a board member for Beauties. I am so thankful for this ministry! My daughters made friends, grew in their faith, and learned that their identity is in Christ. In a world that is trying to lie to our kids and pull them away from God, Beauties is a breath of fresh air!
We love beauties! My 4th grade daughter is learning to read the Bible and memorize verses. She’s a bit on the shy side, and she loves going to group meetings. They are fun, interactive and such a positive experience.
As a leader for the first time, I am blown away by this organization! My 6th grade daughter always pulls me aside during our meetings to tell me how much fun she is having. I love the girls’ enthusiasm to learn more together, pray together, and be together!
Such a great organization! My daughter has been involved for 4 years now, and loves Beauties. She's learning so much about how precious she is, to me and to God. When the world is telling her it's all about what's on the outside, she gets to hear the truth - that it's what's on the inside that matters most.
