Causes: Child Day Care, Children & Youth, Community Coalitions, Human Services, Neighborhood Centers
Mission: Lower income working families cannot afford quality care and education for their children while they work, often forcing them to leave children without such care. We meet all California Department of Education standards and subsidize parents on a sliding scale.
Programs: We serve about 350 children from infants through twelve-year-olds (before and after school) in five Title 5 (Department of Education) centers in Daly City, California. Ninety-eight percent of our families are low-income by federal standards and 60% of our parents are foreign born. Many languages & cultures are represented.
