Mission: Our programs have three goals: develop the individual, provide support, and strengthen families.
Programs: The family program's goal is to help develop healthy families where children can grow and reach their potential. Daily play groups for children under 6, with their parent, are offered along with parent education workshops, family activities, and programs for children. A teen program, r. E. A. D. Y. Club, offers young adults the chance to learn to be first responders and help their community. A one-on-one tutoring program in math and reading is provided to children ages 7 to 12. There were 390 families composed of 444 adults and 581 children participated in these programs.
the food pantry's mission is to provide a 5 to 6 day nutritionally-balanced supply of food to those in need. We serve people in the following zip codes: 53207, 53215 (south of becher street, east of 27th street, addresses 2000 and up), 53221, and 53235. During the year we provided food to 2,332 people, 856 households.
the adult program's mission is to provide programs that help individuals 18 years and older to grow and develop. Programs are provided in the area of arts and crafts, food and nutrition, life skills, recreation, and day trips. Over 70 individual programs were presented in these areas along with monthly coupon club, shamanism and weekly sheepshead group. There were 856 individuals visiting 2,332 times who participated in the center's adult programs and trips.
