Causes: Environment, Land Resources Conservation
Mission: Land trust dedicated to preservation of environmentally sensitive lands.
Programs: A. Land acquistion and stewardship - bcc protects natural areas close to home by purchasing or accepting donations of land. Land held in trust is open to the community free of charge. Stewardship activities included environmental assessements, wetland restoration, trail maintenance, property cleanups, signage upkeep and removal of exotic species. B. Community outreach - bcc conducts site visits, tours and presentations to raise public awareness. Implements various program services such as coordinating member and community participation in vouluntary activities.
