I joined BAGT during the pandemic. They were busy making the transition from live tours to an online presence. They have an intact team of people with the appropriate talent and expertise to make the transition. They have just recently secured 3 corporate jobs in one month, for corporate team building, while bringing awareness to cultural causes.

I went on a frankly amazing tour to the Brentwood area with Bay Area Green Tours. Wow! It was so well done and I walked away with a new appreciation of farming in my region and the innovative ways famers approach a changing environment. We picked stone fruit, visited a local history museum, got a behind the scenes tour of a really cool farm, and enjoyed a delicious and hyper local sourced lunch. Our tour guide and the presenters at each stop were compelling and entertaining— not just educational, although it was that, too! I went home with a new appreciation of farm life and the culture of Brentwood, some fabulous photos, a new friendship… and a lot of fruit.

I started at Bay Area Green Tours as a volunteer because I believed in their mission and thought that their approach was innovative (and fun!). Six years later and I'm consistently impressed by BAGT's professionalism, practicality, and drive to inspire and educate. Tour and experience participants are empowered and walk away with a new and nuanced understanding of the regenerative economy in action.

Bay Area Green Tours was my introduction to the many less visible sustainable splendors of the Bay, including urban farms; leed certified buildings; and zero waste sites Not to mention the chance to learn more about the green local economy and the incredible community here paving the way for a more resilient future.

I've learned so much volunteering for Bay Area Green Tours. I learned a lot backend and front-end from the speakers we had this year. Such a tremendous nonprofit to be part of a great team.

An amazing non-profit that does the most informative, educational, and fun tours! I've learned about Food as Medicine, Recycling, Food Waste and loved the tour at the mushroom farm, plus that one tour at wildbrine sauerkraut company, so cool!

I first heard about Bay Area Green Tours in 2008. I went on a tour to see local farms. The experience was fun, simple, educational and memorable. We were able to get in-depth tours/visits of the farms, heard farmers talk about their successes and struggles, got to see and touch pigs and chicks and enjoyed a tractor trailer ride. We also could pick and buy pomegranates and veggies on one farm and meat products on another farm. It is 2021 and now I work with BAGT. We have developed many meaningful and fun programs including virtual experiences.

Bay Area Green Tours provides the most amazing tours of green businesses, organic farms, waste facilities, restaurants in short all the places you need to learn about. Each tour is led by a trained professional and allows you to meet the CEOs and leaders of the businesses that are transforming our culture in the direction of sustainability. In addition, when you go on a tour you meet dedicated and fun loving people like yourself.
I have been on several tours and each one provided a wealth of information, great foods and conversation. Check out their website: www.bayareagreentours.org
