Mission: The Bardini Foundation provides: A year-round backcountry guide service; sponsorship of courses in avalanche safety, mountain emergency medical practices, rock climbing and mountaineering skills, and wilderness appreciation; a quarterly newsletter promoting a wilderness protocol of mountain ethics, and safety; funds to train and equip local search and rescue groups; funds to train and accredit mountain guides in cooperation with the American Mountain Guides Association; financial support for environmental and cultural projects of local community interest; slide shows and seminars on mountain sports, safety, and photography; a guesthouse for itinerant climbers and skiers; continued publication of mountain writings, photographs, and guide pamphlets.
