Causes: Environment, Natural Resources Conservation & Protection
Mission: The mission of the badlands resource conservation and development council, inc. Is to strengthen the economic, social and environmental growth of our multi-county area by coordinating our human and natural resources.
Programs: The badlands resource conservation and development council promotes the concept that natural resources are to be conserved, improved, developed, and utilized to promote additional employment and economic opportunities. The council consists of appointed representatives from each of the four counties. There are currently fifteen sponsors from thirteen categories. The goals for the current year include land resources development and management for sustainable and improved condition; protecting and restoring the quality of water resources in the area; assisting in economic and community development opportunities in the area; increase healthy land through improved practices that protect the ecosystem; and strengthen the program delivery in each county.
