I have been a supporter of AWWIN for over 10 years. After working in the background with the organization and it's founder, Sarahlyn Argrow, I now serve as President of the AWWIN Board of Directors. I have seen the difference that AWWIN makes in the lives of the women we serve. Assisting Working Women in Need is what AWWIN stands for and it is what the organization does through professional development classes, job placement for clients, financial assistance and much more.

AWWIN, Inc., under the leadership of Sarahlyn U. Argrow, is truly a ray of hope, inspiration, and motivation for the community that it serves. Over the last few years, I have watched AWWIN empower the lives of many women who thought that there was no hope left and that no one cared enough to really help them make a change in their lives for the better. AWWIN, Inc., through its various programs, has empowered women to go from not having a high school diploma to earning a four year college degree. AWWIN is truly a powerhouse that is changing the lives of women daily.

It is with much pleasure and pride that I can say I am a Board Member of AWWIN Inc. This organization is truly a gift to all who come in contact with it, whether it be as a volunteer, a sponsor, board member, by far the hundreds of women whom receive assistance, etc. I have had the honor of caring for the children of these self-determined women in a school setting while they attended the Professional Development Class (a 15 week class that teaches the women computer skills, to broaden their vocabulary and sentence structure, affirmation for confidence, etc providing all supplies needed) free of charge through AWWIN! Unlike many corporations that exist today, AWWIN Inc is an incorporation that gives each associate a “hand up” and not a hand out! By saying this I mean; it provides women with the resources they need to make it through successfully and comfortably for a lifetime and not just a moment if they will. I’m a firm believer in “you can learn something from everyone and anything if you are simply open to the positive” and AWWIN exemplifies this as well as teach it. AWWIN was founded on the principles of self efficiency, tenacity, love, independence and list continues; all in which I feel exude from its founder, Ms. Sarahlyn U. Argrow.

I have worked closely with AWWIN since its inception. I am a supporter and a volunteer and Board Member. AWWIN’S gives a “hand up” to women and teaches them the essential tools (computer skills, interviewing skills, life skills, etc) needed so they can make better lives for themselves and their families. Sarahlyn, the founder, is very compassionate about helping the women. And with the help of volunteers, the community and supporters she is dedicated (and will) help turn communities around. The organization has touched hundreds of lives. And I believe with Sarahlyn’s drive and her compassion, AWWIN will continue to touch thousands more in a very short period of time.

I Have personally observed the growth and involvement of AWWIN in helping working women almost since its inception. I am a supporter and applaud the great help and support they have provided to women in the Savannah area. Ms Argrow has been a tireless advocate in spearheading the organization and have risen to a level rarely seen in such a short period of time. Their success has grown not only in numbers but also in quality. This is readily recognized by the diverse employment opportunities afforded to some of the graduates of their programs. I have also provided technical and operational support when requested.

It has been a pleasure working with Saralyn over the past few months. Her knowledge, determination and commitment to the community is a real treasure... With AWWIN's founder and its volunteers, this organization will help single mothers beat the odds and teach them the skills and life lessons they need to succeed. I look forward to the months and years ahead in helping with this and many non-profit organizations

I have worked with AWWIN, INC as a volunteer. The work that they have done is to be commended. The impact on the ladies I had a chance to work with is beyond words. AWWIN, Inc. is making a difference in these ladies lives by providing them with the necessary job skills and eventually a better job opportunity. This organization is a great assest to our community. They deserve the chance to do even more.
