The ae alliance strices to find a cure for autoimmune encephalitis through multi-disciplinary, collaborative research and clinical care.
Programs: Clinical care & doctor education - the ae alliance convened the first international symposium on autoimmune encephalitis with 25 medical experts and researchers from six countries. The ae alliance organized and funded grand rounds, lectures and panel discussions at stanford's lucille packard childrens hospital, uc davis medical center and duke medical center. The ae alliance released a public report describing the discussions, conclusions and next steps from the international symposium on autoimmune encephalitis.
patient advocacy & family support - the ae alliance supported patients and families with family lunches, community book readings and the new ae clinicians network. The ae clinicians network connects patients and families to ae experts through a publicly available website. The ae alliance held two family lunches, one in north carolina and one in california to connect ae patients and their families.
