Praise God for this group. They are doing wonderful work with the forgotten autism community that needs determined advocacy and positive messages of hope. I know my donation is making a difference and i'm a proud supporter.
Mission: Autism Citizen, Inc. is dedicated to the principle that every person with autism is a citizen. We advocate for their civil liberties through education and awareness with the aim of creating acceptance. We are focused on learning opportunities for business, government, and professionals.
The rights of the autistic are routinely denied or ignored by others. Freedom is a right we fight to help those with autism enjoy. Autism has long been the subject of prejudice and misunderstanding. Awareness of the condition isn’t enough, but a stepping stone towards the true goal – acceptance. This can only be achieved by education. Knowledge is the way to truth. Education is the cure for ignorance.
Results: More than 1150 successful client relationships in which we placed clients with legal professionals who are able to serve the needs of autistic citizens. We've advised more than 100 attorneys about autism, providing guidance in civil and criminal cases to protect the rights of autistic citizens. We've advised 952 family members and caregivers about rights, resources and opportunities for their autistic teens and young adults about to age out of the education system with the aim of job opportunities. We have also advised thirty-two (32) companies about the benefits of hiring autistic employees.
Target demographics: autistic citizens and their families and caregivers
Direct beneficiaries per year: 393 individuals in need of guidance, advocacy and intervention to find professionals able to assist with their problems.
Geographic areas served: nationally
Programs: advocacy, and online education programs for businesses, professionals and government at all levels, creating acceptance and employment opportunities.

This is an organization staffed with caring and knowledgeable people who have done so much to support our family and so many other families in New Jersey!
They have helped by helping me understand what my brother is going through. They have a very extensive website with lots of information for friends and family. Thank you so much!!! Keep up the good work.
One of the amazing services that this nonprofit provides is support for parents who have no idea where to turn for services and help. As a mom with zero experience finding support after the diagnosis, Autism Citizen was able to find the playgroups for kids and support groups for parents I desperately needed. Learning to communicate with him better and learning ways to help him grow and develop have made a huge difference. Super grateful for all the help and support.
My son is turning 19 and is autistic. A very smart man, and about to graduate HS. We became very worried about him "aging out" of the support structure he had in school and the questions for us ballooned. It kept us up a night for a good long time. The people at Autism Citizen had information and solutions for us we never knew about and had never even considered. Thanks so much for helping us get things in order

I have worked with Autism Citizen on several fundraising projects and they are extremely knowledgeable, professional, absolutely dedicated to supporting the community. Their passion and drive to help the autism community makes this one of the most impressive organizations in the autism charity field today.
My name is Elliot and I spent most of my life bullied and it was a horrible experience. I saw all the amazing things autism citizen was doing to spread love and help prevent bullying and I wanted to help. Its been exciting to turn a negative that happened to me into a positive thru helping others who are different. I am glad there is autism citizen to help and I am so happy to help an organization by helping to spread love not hate.
Thanks to everyone here for listening and being so kind to our family. We were able to let go of a lot of worries after finding options and solutions you provided.
Still a great organization. Happy to keep reporting I think they are one of the best groups for finding help for families who have no idea where to turn in the maze of getting the support needed.
They continue to be a big help with our difficulties we face with our school system. It is very hard to find good resources and help, we had just about given up before finding Autism Citizen. Things are finally getting better.
There has been such a rise in abuse, bullying and narrow-mindedness towards those on the spectrum. It seems to get worse and worse every year. Local and state government resources are either strapped or completely useless.
The value of assistance from Autism Citizen is more valuable than ever, and they have been so helpful to our family and our son. What I especially appreciate about them - in addition to their wonderful range of helpful resources and training programs - is that they will help no matter where in the nation you are. The world and the autism community could use more non-profits just like Autism Citizen.
I am so very thankful I found this wonderful organization, who has managed to bring me so much more hope than I could have ever imagined. They have made a huge difference and I am forever grateful.
Thank you for your help and support following my new diagnosis. I was scared and lost at first, but you helped me find resources, and that there is hope for me yet. I am thankful for your organization.
As parents of an adult child living with autism, we will be forever appreciative for the support, access to information and resources Autism Citizen offers.
When they're kids, support is easier to find. When they become adults it becomes nearly impossible to find help or support. We would never be where we are today without this amazing organization!
Exceptional non-profit solely focused on benefiting the autism community. I never hesitate to give to this group, they do so much good for the community.
Great organization. They are constantly tuned into issues that will affect my childs outcome. I know I can trust the information they provide to us without worry of another agenda. They are an invaluable resource for empathetic and knowledgeable information and help. Bless you.
Our family has a precious heart who is a low functioning autistic child. We were connected to Autism Citizen through a local agency who had worked with them in the past. The contact at Autism Citizen was compassionate, and an incredible listener. They knew so much about what we were going through. Like talking to a fellow parent.
We learned about certain options which lead us to additional resources. They were on the ball and could not have been kinder.
Moving into high school this year and things are still on track. Feel so blessed Autism Citizen guided our family right. The school didn't want to provide the necessary resources, but this organization gave us great references to get things straightened out. We feel empowered, and most important, informed and it's all thanks to Autism Citizen.
When our son was diagnosed with Autism, our whole world fell apart. A friend referred me to Autism Citizen and they helped us with finding help and getting the support he needs to thrive in school. Right now, our son is in the 7th grade and is doing great. I don't know where we would be if it weren't for Autism citizen.
Thanks for listening and the great advice, your organization has been so helpful. Sometimes it is just good to have a place to vent. We would be totally lost without this organization, hopeless to fight to the school on our own. We have made huge progress getting the accommodations we need. Far exceeds my expectations.
They have been very helpful to our family. Couldn't have asked for more nicer people to work with. Thanks for all you do for families dealing with autism.
I have never hesitated to give to Autism Citizen over the past few years. They help so many people, a very vulnerable population, who would otherwise fall through the cracks in our system. Any needs that are met help these families continue on their own and helps them see that other people really do care about them, and it is organizations like this that make all the difference! Great Job.
As a donor, I completely trust that every cent that I give to Autism Citizen is going to help the autism community. We have been contributing to Autism Citizen for several years and signed up for some apps so that our earnings from those are donated.
We like how transparent they are on sites like this and Guidestar, that makes us feel very confident to know our donations are making a difference.

This has been a great organization to work with.
They truly care about the autism community and Autism citizen is an outstanding knowledge base for information on autism for parents. It's a great resource for those recently diagnosed that have no idea where to turn.
Autism Citizen saved us when our son was diagnosed with autism. I couldn't believe how helpful they were. They helped us to find information and best of all, hope to make his life better. Our son has come so far thanks to the help we found from Autism Citizen. Would highly recommend!
Words cannot express how grateful I am for the help Autism Citizen has provided to our family.
I'm the mother of a young man with Autism, Sensory Processing Disorder, Food Allergies, and Hypothyroidism. Autism Citizen has provided me all the support I could ever need to find help for my son.
I support Autism Citizen in their effort to help families that struggle through this difficult journey.
I've donated to them and would recommend them to anyone needing help with autism.
