Mission: To support auburn mountainview high school academics, activities, arts & athletics.
Programs: Supported athletic programs including sending 25 athletes to team camp, providing pool time for extra practices for 20 boys water polo athletes, stunt training and competition fees for 14 cheerleaders, sending 10 athletes to tournaments, purchases of uniforms, supplies and equipment including bringing electrical to concession stand supporting baseball and fastpitch events, headsets for football games, and 6 golf bags for boys golf, additional coaching staff, referee fees and supervision for summer leagues, fees for baseball fall league, team bonding activities such as team meals, as well as helping pay costs for athletic awards banquets.
provided a safe, fun, drug and alcohol free all night activity for graduating seniors the night of graduation. Graduation ceremonies are at 11:00 am. Students check in about early evening. Transportation is provided from amhs, and students are returned to amhs the next morning. The details of this event have always been a surprise to our seniors. Seniors contribute to the cost of this event - 92 seniors attended this year. Some assistance was offered to offset cost of attending for those with established need.
supported band program. The organization's marching band competes in several competitions and performs at football games; we sent 23 band members to camp. Provided transportation to events, meals at competition and other events and while traveling, purchased t-shirts and uniform pieces and marching band set pieces for performances. Travel and expenses included a trip to disneyland for performances and training. Provided grants to two feeder middle schools band programs.
supported robotics program of 30 team members, including purchases of equipment and supplies to build robots for competitions and sending members to competitions. Awarded general schoolwide and specific program scholarships for post- secondary education totaling 9,350, ranging from 150 to 850, to 24 graduating seniors. Supported 5 students in japan club in travel expenses to tokyo. Provided support to drama program with music fees and material rental fees for spring greece musical. Contributed 6,000 to auburn mountainview high school to assist with the gym floor refinishing project for gym used for schoolwide events, sporting and other events held in gym. Provided 500 towards movie tickets for 412 students to see hidden figures, a 2016 american biographical film about black female mathematicians who worked at the national aeronautics and space administration (nasa) during the space race.
