Mission: The educational program of the Atlantic Baptist Bible College is designed to prepare students for effective Christian service in the local church. In order for the church to provide the quality of leadership needed in the varied ministries, personnel must be properly trained. The courses of study place strong emphasis on three topics.1. The Bible. Every course derives its fundamental principles from the Bible. The answers to the complex problems of mankind are contained in God’s Word. Therefore, every servant of the Lord needs to have a discerning knowledge of the Bible.2. The Church. All courses emphasize the necessity of the Lord’s church. God has ordained the local church for the perpetuation of His truth and work in the world during this dispensation. A call to His ministry is a call to minister through His church.3. The Practical. The practical development and application of the concepts learned are emphasized. A Christian Service Training Program provides a unique learning apprenticeship enabling the student to develop skills and gain experience in practical application of the knowledge and methods acquired in the classroom. A student must demonstrate competency in one or more areas of Christian service as a requirement for graduation.
