Programs: Fundraising day in new york - this all-day conference held in june at the ny marriott marquis attracts approximately 1800 attendees in the nonprofit industry. The day includes 12 educational tracks with top-notch speakers and panelists, a keynote speaker during the luncheon, and an exhibit hall designed to introduce vendors to the nonprofit community. Also offered at this event is a mentoring program, fundamentals in fundraising certificate for those attending four sessions, and cfre credits.
the chapter offers a year-round series of educational workshops, presentations, and networking opportunities to promote the professional development of our members and other fundraising professionals in the greater new york area. The chapters annual meeting, attended by approximately 200 in january, is a state of the industry event with a panel of experts sharing insights for the coming year. Each november, national philanthropy day honors organizations and individuals that represent the best of ny philanthropy. The commitment of nonprofit organizations to education, health, the arts and the welfare of people who are disabled, poor, sick and disadvantaged is matched only by that of their generous supporters. Inspiring keynote speakers and multimedia presentations honor the value of storytelling in fundraising, and highlight the skills of selected storytellers. The event is attended by approximately 200 members of the nonprofit community.
