Causes: Women, Womens Service Clubs
Mission: Assistance league of mobile, inc. Is a charted chapter of national assistance primary purpose is to assist underprivileged children and victims of violent crime.
Programs: Operation school bell provides library books for media centers in selected title one mobile county elementary schools. Assistance league of mobile provides uniforms and clothing to students in need; provides classroom reading and gives a summer reading book to each student. Three schools and 2,717 students were served by 43 members
assault survivor kits provide personal hygiene and clothing to the rape crisis center for distribution to individuals who have been sexually assaulted. Donations also include 2 pieces of forensic equipment and 25 teddy bears for the children. On emember purchases supplies and assembles kits. 158 individuals were served.
tender loving care provides handmade therapy dolls to 2 area hospitals for critically ill children and to the child advocacy center for child victimes of assault. 25 members participated in this program with 444 children being served.
