Mission: The purpose of asian american recovery services, inc. (aars) is to reduce the impact of substance abuse in the asian and pacific islander and other affected communities of the san francisco bay area.
Programs: For the 6 months ended december 31, 2013, aars provided substance abuse and mental health treatment, intervention, education, and prevention services to youth and adults in san francisco, san mateo, and santa clara counties. On august 28, 2013, the organization entered into an agreement to merge with healthright360 ("hr360"). In accordance with the merger agreement, hr360 is the surviving entity and aars dissolved as a legal entity on january 1, 2014.
