Mission: The mission of ashe services for aging is to provide services, intergenerational activities, and opportunities to the elderly and disabled adults of ashe county that enhance their dignity and help them maintain their independence at home. The mission of ashe assisted living & memory care is to enrich and celebrate the lives of our residents by providing services and intergenerational programs to improve their physical and social well-being. This mission is carried out through mutual respect of each and every resident.
Programs: Ashe services for aging provides various services for elderly and disabled adults in ashe county, nc including community alternatives program case management services, a vibrant and active senior center, in-home aide services, congregate and home-delivered meals, and intergenerational day care services. The congregate nutrition department continues to be successful in attracting participants. Furthermore, consumer contributions for that program continue to exceed others and are typically among the highest in the region. There continues to be a waiting list for home-delivered meals and for in-home aide services for title iii. The availability of private pay options for both of these services will be highlighted in marketing efforts in the upcoming year. The intergenerational day care program continues to be a popular choice for the community. The children's center maintains a waiting list and the adult day care continues to have a steady stream of participants. The assisted living program has maintained a relatively consistent census with periods of 100% occupancy. The assisted living unit maintains a waiting list for vacancies.
