Mission: The asbury park zone development corp's mission was to create employment opportunities for city residents by attracting new businesses to the city and assisted established city businesses to grow through the use of economic incentives. As of 6/30/15, the program is no longer funded by the state of new jersey urban enterprise authority.
Programs: The program funds had been invested in marketing programs to attract new businesses and visitors to support those businesses. Funds have been used for marketing/advertising campaigns, public relations, street banners, recovery efforts after superstorm sandy, and support for special events. Effective 6/30/15, the operating efforts and programs of the organization have been taken over by the city of asbury park.
