Mission: The mission of the Arts Council for Monterey County is to improve the quality of life for everyone in our region through the arts.
Target demographics: strengthen and broaden the county's economic base.
Direct beneficiaries per year: 25,000 students in 35 partner schools, arts as healing programs for 1,000 at risk youths, seniors and veterans and re-granted almost $400,000 to individual artists and arts organizations.
Geographic areas served: Monterey County
Programs: Provide grants to numerous arts, music and dance organizations, and fund art and education programs; affordable studios for local emerging artists, arts education classes to more than 25,000 students, and arts as healing programs to at-risk youth, seniors and veterans.
