The Developmental Preschool serves children ages 3-5. This program is built around a play curriculum that focuses on the child as an active participant in the learning process. Teachers facilitate this process, designing a safe, stimulating classroom environment to help the children develop individually, at their own paces as they strive to master difficult developmental tasks such as separation, control, independence and conflict resolution. Parents are supported and encouraged to be active partners in the preschool program. The preschool program is half-day and runs on a school-year calendar with a 4-week summer camp available. The preschool is licensed by the Department of Public Welfare and accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children.
