Nonprofit Overview
Causes: Health, Reproductive Health Care, Reproductive Rights
Mission: To meet the emotional, physical, spiritual, and social needs of women, men, and their families facing pregnancy and related issues through counseling, material provisions, education, and restoration of relationships. Women and their families receive caring emotional, material, and spiritual support with pregnancy and relationship issues.
Programs: Human service programs, general/other: intervention and recovery - peer counseling, clients learn to earn new cribs and car seats by completing client's choice of programs including parenting, budget preparation, book and bible studies. Post abortion stress, peer counseling and bible studies which help clients deal with emotional and spiritual aftermath of abortion. (238 clients)
pregnancy - free pregnancy tests are given and upon positive test results free ultrasounds are offered. Women are encouraged to sign up for free classes to prepare them for parenting. Material supplies are also available. (112 pregnancy tests performed, 78 of which were positive, 45 ultrasounds were performed)
prevention - classes were taught at the center to promote abstinence, healing, and relationship skills. These classes are titled a time to heal, within our reach, within my reach, and real essentials. (52 clients took part in these classes)
