Causes: Environment, Environmental Education
Mission: To inform and educate the importance of maintaining quality management of forests and the importance of the forestry community to the people of arkansas.
Programs: Teacher conservation tour - sponsorship of a weeklong educational tour in the summer focusing on all aspects of forestry, from the landowner to the manufacturer. Attended by approximately 35 educators.
project learning tree - award winning educational training series for teachers in arkansas. Conducted 37 clinics attended by approximately 644 individuals on various topics relative to forestry in arkansas and the usa. Conducted 26 school and camp programs reaching 3650 students and teachers.
landowner education - to promote sustainable forestry principles to all arkansas landowners by providing landowner education, assistance and outreach, and building a network of forestry-related resources. Conducted 19 workshops attended by approximately 1284 individuals.
