Mission: The organization is dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals and their family members, statewide, as they deal with spinal cord injuries, to ensure the maximum possible physical, mental, spiritual, emotional and social recovery.
Programs: Quality of life - maintained web site and year round information and referral services, conducted 48 support group sessions, 24 recreational events, and 294 visits of ongoing peer mentoring. Received contributed services from nurses, ot's, and pt's that were valued at $19,500 in connection with the program.
transportation - maintained a fleet of 6 wheelchair asccessible vans to provide transportation for individuals with spinal cord and neurological traumatic injuries.
education - conducted 13 empowerment courses, 8 wheelchair skills courses, 2 educational conferences and 9 educational classes to assist persons with spinal cord and related neurological injuries, family members, care givers, service providers, and other interested community members. Received contributed services from ot's and pt's that were valued at $11,500 in connection with the program.
