Mission: To promote motorcycle safety and public awareness and to help
Programs: Motorcycle training in 2017: amsaf provided 719 schoalrships to arizona motorcycle riders resulting in 89. 7% completion rate of the basic rider courses (brc). The basic rider course had 673 students and the basic rider course 2 had 46 students. During the year amsaf partnered with local police to put on a motorcycle safety day and was involved with the state in the annual safety days at the state fair. Amsaf sends out a monthly newsletter called "amsaf rider" with safety tips and motorcycling idea to approximately 10,000 emails within the state. On a weekly basis, amsaf provides tuesday safety tips on amsaf's facebook page which has a viewing of 4000 plus viewers. Amsaf's annual fundraiser "riding for the long haul" was held again in 2017 in partnership with healthcare, state, legal, insurance and many other business's to promote safety. In 2017 amsaf developed their strategic plan which focus's on the following committee's to help amsaf grow and help the community: fundraising, events, recognition/awards, leadership development and pr/ marketing.
