Mission: To achieve the IOF mission of sustainability and economic enhancement for our energy-intense industry sectors (agriculture, aluminum, forestry and mining) will require addressing the following needs: (1) Energy efficiency: with resulting improved environmental impact (2) Forest-products business-investments incentives: for community economic enhancement and utilization of thinned material from our currently unhealthy forests (3) Research, Development and Deployment (RD&D): for value added products, energy efficient technologies, alternative energy applications, and RD&D issues addressed in each of the industry sector Roadmaps (4) Education: current industry workforce and attraction of youth into careers in the targeted industry sectors.
