This is the most wonderful rescue I have ever encountered. I have worked with cat, dogs and equine rescues over the years, but Arizona American Saddlebred Rescue (AASR) outshines them all. The staff is dedicated to helping these beautiful horses regain health, confidence, experience love and tenderness, and to rehome into caring, kind and loving homes. AASR facilities are outstanding. I observed on each visit a clean environment with each horse treated as a respected and honored individual who receives thier proper diet and veterinarian care. The horses are exercised, receive farrier services, have their grooming and baths, teeth floated sheath cleaning and chiropractic services, their hugs, pets, and kisses everyday. There is nothing left out for each individual's proper care. If the horse needs anything AASR makes sure the horse receives it. I could never say enough about how fantastic this rescue is. AASR should be the standard by which all rescues are measured.

Dedication, commitment, compassion and lots of love goes in each one of the animals AASR takes in. The facility is immaculate and the animals' safety and comfort are always top priority. You can see some of the animals who come in "broken/traumatized/stressed or just needing a change of pace" do a 180 here and change for the better. Arizona American Saddlebred Rescue truly is a haven for these magnificent animals!

Every donation goes to support the horses. They are very well provided for but even more importantly loved and given the opportunity to be horses.

Catherine does an amazing job of ensuring all horses' are provided the best in care, physically, nutritionally and emotionally. This is by far the cleanest rescue I have ever seen & the horses are visibly happy, healthy and content. Every horse that comes through this rescue is ensured the best quality of life, for the rest of its life. I would recommend everyone check it out and see for yourself!

I have volunteered only a few times but love visiting with the horses. Catherine runs a tight ship and knows the rescues personalities inside and out. They thrive in the environment and are friendly. It's been fun learning about the breed and can't wait to go back.

So grateful to the people of Az Saddlebred Rescue for helping us with our horse when we couldn't provide anymore. They communicate and keep us updated on our horses progress. Even though we surrendered him it's good to know they are considerate of our feelings.

They are compassionate and loving to every horse they take in. They take their time getting to know each horse to learn its' strengths and weaknesses. They have it examined by therapeutic professionals to help resolve any pain and/or medical issues. They integrate the horse into a herd setting to give it time to relax and to let down. Each horse is evaluated to determine what type home would be ultimately ideal for it to enjoy its future journey.
Their facility is spotless. A top notch organization founded on love and sincere devotion to the breed.

I am so greatful to Catherine of Arizona Saddlebred Rescue for helping me with my Robbie when I could no longer care for him. She keeps me informed and updates me on Robbie even though I surrendered him. Catherine has a huge heart and truly cares for the well being of these beautiful horses and all animals. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you've done and continue to do for everyone who has ever had the pleasure of meeting you. Your an inspiration!

If I were a horse and I was born as an American Saddlebred and had to be rescued for one or the other reason, I would like it to be Catherine's Arizona American Saddlebred Rescue. This girl can do it all and she does. I have had the privilege to be out at the Rescue several times and can only attest to the truth that it is an extremely well run and cared for facility. The most important part here is that Catherine truly loves animals and it shows. We all want to stand for something, do something with meaning attached to it and then, pour our whole gut, heart, and soul into it. Most of us merely stick to wishful thinking, Catherine just does it! I respect her and pray for her welfare because we need her for an exemplary human being to emulate and the horses need her because their survival and dignity depends on it. Lucky horses, I say!

AASR is not just a rescue for the American Saddlebred, it's a haven for them. Catherine, the founder breathes this mission to her core. Catherine tirelessly works from sun up, to sun down to love, honor and rehabilitate the heart and bodies this breed after they have retired from showing. I have been to the rescue often, it's immaculate and her herd is so well taken care of. I have learned so much from her. Her love for all animals shines through her passion for giving the utmost care and compassion to all living beings. I recommend her to anyone, please go visit!
