Programs: Arise at marshall farms conducts programs in accessible locations for people having disabilities to experience a variety of social and recreational activities including in particular horse-riding lessons, horse care and cart driving. Our activities benefit from strong support from familiies, very engaged volunteers, community foundations and corporations. We offer services to individuals and families throughout the year, including after school and during school vacations. People with disabilities work and volunteer at the farm along with people who do not have disabilities. While the recreation aspects of the project are clear, because of the integrated nature of programming and the arena's universal design, our programs also serve to educate the community regarding disability awareness as well as provide a much-needed social environment for persons living with disabilities. The aggregate number of individuals served during fiscal 2017 was 310.
