Programs: Aging programs - provided leadership and advocacy on behalf of older persons; determined the need for services for older persons, with special attention being given to the needs of low income and minority elderly; maintained an inventory of the resources available within the service area to meet the needs of older persons and evaluated the effectiveness of services provided by public and private agencies in meeting such needs; collected and distributed information concerning challenges faced by, and benefits available to, older persons; provided technical assistance to providers of social services in the planning and service area.
