I have had the pleasure of being both a non-profit manager driving the use of Apparo internally within our organization as well as a client taking advantage of the volunteer coaching that is offered. Both of the experiences have been invaluable. Through their consulting, they have offered more opportunities and solutions for us than I ever thought would be imaginable. Apparo engages community IT professionals, on our behalf, to help us and other non-profits navigate the complexities that the ever-changing technological world presents us, but in a manageable & cost effective way. Without Apparo & their community of I/T partners, I can truly say that myself as the internal IT professional and our non-profit organization would not have been able to sustain, let alone build, the IT education for staff, social media growth requirements, and infrastructure development that has been required over the last few years.
Our non-profit organization has been blessed to enjoy a partnership with Apparo. Their volunteer help has been spot on with our technology needs. The training offered is amazing (finally starting to understand SalesForce!). They helped up develop a comprehensive and "do-able" three year technology plan. And the list continues. Right now, I'm looking forward to completing our migration to "the cloud" for all of our MSOffice products. Simply said, this organization Rocks! From the Team at Eagle Rock Camp.
Our foundation supports the work and mission of Apparo. Our staff have the opportunity to learn and improve their skills in Microsoft programs from talented volunteers in our community.
Apparo also provides the bridge that helps nonprofits find business solutions through engagement with professionals in the IT community.
Simply put, Apparo helps non-profits accomplish their mission and goals. Often, non-profits are hampered by a lack of knowledge and know-how when it comes to effectively utilizing information technology and data. Apparo can solve that problem and make a substantial, positive impact to the non-profit and the community at large. It is a pleasure to work with them, and as part of the Board.
Apparo brings modern thinking and technology solutions to our community of non-profits who are historically and dramatically underserved and underfunded in this area. They do this across all areas of non-profit operations including direct service, fund raising, operational improvement, and marketing which makes the non-profit even more successful. I have been proud to be associated with Apparo for many years as a volunteer and board member.
Apparo's Mission to empower nonprofits through technology that enhances their missions is just a small part of what they do. Daily they connect local IT Professionals with nonprofits to educate, advise and provide them with the tools to better serve the community.
Apparo is an innovative non-profit that helps other non-profits be more effective and productive through the use of technology.
As a volunteer at APPARO, It has been my honor to work along side with esteemed and talented individuals from various industries all trying to strive for the greater good.
As a Charlottean, I am absolutely thrilled to say that Apparo is a great organization and an asset to the local non profit community. Apparo and it's people go above and beyond to ensure the non profits have what they need and then some. There are no short cuts. The leadership at Apparo is fully invested in bringing the best to the table in partnership with various corporate sponsors.
It's a pleasure to be working with Apparo for close to 2 years now and I look forward to many more.
As an Apparo CIO volunteer for the last 8 years I have heard many times from Charlotte area non-profits how appreciative they are of Apparo’s offerings to the non-profit community. Technology is typically not a core competency of most non-profits, but it is critical for non-profits to operate successfully and achieve their mission in today’s environment. Apparo brings non-profit needs to Charlotte area IT professionals to help solve those needs resulting in a strong and thriving Charlotte area community to live and work for all citizens.
Technology, rightly so, takes a backseat to the focus on mission for many non-profits. But, technology can often be the catalyst to transformation for those non-profit organiztions. Apparo links the region's skilled technology professionals with the non-profit organizations and coordinates skilled volunteer engagements that address the non-profits technology needs in ways that advance the non-profits capabilities and allows the IT professionals to serve the community in ways that use their talents.
As a volunteer for Apparo, I had the opportunity to see how the Apparo mission statement is put into action at multiple levels. Not only do you see them actively engaging corporate relationships and sponsors but I have seen how their efforts have supported groups like Classroom Central. The tireless team at Apparo affects change in our community on a daily basis and the involvement of technology leaders willing to put time and resources into Apparo is a testament that Apparo is on the right track to provide long term sustainable support to other non profits in the Charlotte region.
Apparo pairs professional volunteers with non-profit organizations who need assistance with technology enhancements that will help them perform their work more effectively and efficiently, but do not have the resources available to do so on their own. This concept is a true gift to charities who work hard to direct as much of the revenue they raise to go directly to serve their mission. Corporations and individuals who donate their expertise to help charities improve their processes and innovate means that more of the dollars we raise go directly to those in need. Additionally, it helps non-profits to work more efficiently - reducing manual processes and additional resources that can be replaced by automated enhancements. Bravo Apparo!
Apparo provides me with the opportunity to give back to the community using my professional skills in I/T and consulting. I have worked on projects with several clients and the satisfaction I receive in helping them and the gratitude they have for the work performed is moving. I also enjoy knowing that I am helping a variety of non-profits in carrying out their missions by strengthening and improving their I/T operations, systems, and business processes. I look forward to the next time I get to work with, and through, Apparo.
I highly recommend this organization to anyone that is looking to give back to the community and is an I/T professional.
Working with Apparo has been great! They were able to pair our firm with a local non-profit and we worked throughout the year to develop a website that really helps their cause. Apparo was a partner through the entire process! We are currently working with another non-profit Apparo connected us to and we have a group volunteering as coaches as well. We love the relationship we have with Apparo and look forward to all that we can accomplish together for our community!
Apparo provides a great service for non-profit organizations in Charlotte. They are integrated with a large set of the non-profits that need technical support. They then have excellent programs that allow technology providers to engage with these non-profits. The overall result is a tremendous amount of value being delivered to the non-profits and the Charlotte community.
Apparo helps other nonprofits leverage technology so that they can better deliver their missions. The various programs that Apparo offers (e.g. Skilled Volunteer Engagements, User Groups, Forums, IT Coaching) have made a true difference to many nonprofits in the Charlotte-Metro area and are sure to impact many more. Apparo's work proves that technology is an important resource to nonprofits, and the organization makes it easy for agencies to get started.
Apparo bridges the corporate community and non-profit community in Charlotte. We recently completed a Skilled Volunteer Engagement with a local non-profit. The project was rewarding for me and my co-worker and most importantly I feel we made a difference. Thank you Apparo for connecting companies to non-profits through Skilled Volunteer Engagements!
